There are two main services that are provided by the Legal Aid Unit of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. Both these services will be provided pro bono, and by Attorneys at Law assisted by law students.
The Unit will conduct consultation clinics during which clients will receive legal advice from affiliated lawyers of the Unit. Consultations will be carried out based on prior made appointments, and will be held on Fridays between 3pm and 8 pm at the Faculty of Law. When appropriate, the clients may be referred to non-affiliated lawyers to pursue further legal recourse.
